Sunday 3rd October 2010

The Hardwick Mile is a fun and fit activity for everyone who wants to have some fun whilst raising money for this wonderful charity. Drinks will be provided for each entered participant, and will also receive a token of participation.

Our goal is to help the fundraising committee raise at least £250 to fund Premrose Premature Baby Charity, base d at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge. We hope that each person will participate in the Hardwick Mile to the best of their ability. We’re hoping to make this event the best ever, so the more contributions you raise, the more successful we’ll be at achieving our goal. Thank you very much for your participation!

Rules

  1. There is no age range for participants.

  2. Participants may start collecting pledges as soon as they receive the pledge/sponsorship sheets. Reminder: Pledge/Sponsorship sheets need to be brought to the event so we can get an idea of how much we can expect to raise.

  3. Pledges/sponsor donations may be made by anyone.

  4. Each sponsor making a pledge should write their own name, pledge per lap, or maximum pledge. Participants may collect the pledge in advance but must keep pledges until all are collected.

  5. On the day, you will be instructed as to when/what time your Hardwick Mile will start.  Each group of participants, depending on numbers and age, will be timed.  The fastest time recorded will be awarded with a specific prize.

  6. Upon completion of the Hardwick Mile, your pledge sheet will be signed by a representative of HSSC to confirm completion. Participants may then collect outstanding pledges. Please return pledge sheets with the money to the Secretary, Hardwick Sports & Social Club by Sunday 17th October 2010.

  7. Participants are encouraged to wear hats and sunscreen if it’s sunny or bring rain gear if it’s rainy.  Depending on weather, a BBQ will be available for participants and their guests and members of the Club after the event.
