Part-Time Assistant Bar Manager

We need someone who is committed to being successful and who has the drive and enthusiasm to assist in keeping our club moving forward.  We are a not-for-profit organisation, which was set up for its members and that puts money back into aspects of the community.

You would be responsible for assisting in the running of the Club and deputizing in the Manager’s absence.  Other duties include staffing during opening times, ordering/purchasing of stock, general day to day issues as they arise, wages and cashing up.

The hours are flexible, by mutual arrangement with the Bar Manager, as work is needed during the day to accept dray orders, clean the pipes and meet external suppliers etc, for example.  There will also be additional evening shifts are a requirement from the successful candidate.

As well as having experience of bar management, you will possess excellent communication, organization, negotiation and IT skills.

You will be responsible to the Bar Manager, who in turn reports to a small committee.  Committee Meetings are held on a monthly basis and you may be required to attend in the absence of the Bar Manager.  Sub-committees have been formed to provide backup in specific areas such as entertainment, facilities and disciplinary issues.

The hours required of this position is approximately 24 hours per week and salary will be dependent upon experience.
